The University of North Florida Department of Housing and Residence Life is a featured program.
The THRIVE Community
The THRIVE community is in place to provide young adults with Asperger Syndrome the opportunity to have a full college experience by residing on campus. THRIVE boasts a mentorship program, which works to develop essential skills to independent living and building relationships with other THRIVE students.
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is an amazing partner to HRE in regards to the THRIVE living community. All students interested in living in the community must be a fully registered student with the DRC. There is a simple, five–step process students complete to register with the DRC, which allows the Center to understand the students specific needs and help develop the best plan of action with the student for their time at UNF, including appropriate Housing options such as THRIVE.
