James Madison University Office of Residence Life is a featured program.
Sexual assault and relationship violence are becoming more widely discussed on college campuses.
The Office of Residence Life participates in the NO MORE campaign as a residential campaign to help raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault. As a component of their community wide programming, each Hall Director is responsible for facilitating a program focused on sexual misconduct education. This campaign rounds out JMU’s efforts by offering an awareness aspect to the educational programming already offered each year.
As a department, the hope is that through promoting the NO MORE campaign students will break the silence, speak up and say NO MORE to domestic violence and sexual assault.
This program was selected for the 2014-2015 “Program of the Year Award,” part of the Division of Student Affairs and University Planning’s Values in Action awards program.
