Bridgewater State University Office of Residence Life and Housing is a featured program.
At Bridgewater State University we are focused on competency assessment and professional development, and all staff members participate in these activities. The professional development plan is the result of the StrengthsQuest assessment tool guide supervision and professional development at Bridgewater State University.
As a university, we have begun using StrengthsQuest more and more, and in the Office of Residence Life and Housing we are focusing heavily on strengths based leadership. Each staff member takes the StrengthsFinder inventory as part of an initiative to include StrengthsQuest into our training and everyday work.

Trained facilitators work with the staffs in small groups throughout the semester to talk about the results of the inventory and facilitate the use of these strengths to improve community in the halls. Staff members enjoy learning about their own strengths and working with team members to develop a balanced approach to their individual communities.
