University Housing at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville is a featured program.
Faculty Fellows
Each residential community is partnered up with professors for an academic year. To increase faculty involvement in the halls, faculty works with individual RAs to integrate into the residential communities by attending events and getting to know residents on a more personal level.
House Calls
This program invites faculty and staff members into the first year communities during the 2nd week of class. Volunteers are partnered up while going door to door within the residential communities making introductions and checking in on residents. This event serves as an official welcome to the university.
Many of our residents live in these residential learning communities, based on themes or academic majors. Resident assistants are encouraged to cultivate relationships with faculty members and academic stakeholders to enrich this living learning experience. House Calls is a program that helps students to start to develop mentoring opportunities with faculty and staff.
