Western Connecticut State University Housing and Residence Life is a featured program.
CULTURE™ (Creating Undergraduate Learning Through Unique Residential Experiences) is a guiding principle and set of programs developed to help combat attrition of good students from our halls. We saw good students leaving the residence halls in large part due to poor behavior, mainly perpetrated by students who were not performing well academically. The overarching goals were to change the culture of our halls by rewarding academic success and involvement in the res. hall community, offering support and resources to struggling students, and creating opportunities for leadership and faculty interaction. We began the program in 2001.
The CULTURE™ program is supported by the assignment of priority points for room selection.
