This summer I was trying to think of something fun and creative to use as door decorations for my residents. For the girls, I thought it would be really cool to buy actual flip flops and write their names on them and decorate them. I put them up and they looked fantastic and all my residents loved them. Then a few nights ago, I got an email from my mom saying the flip flops had been recalled because the paint used on them was toxic if left on the skin for an extended time. Not that my residents wore their flip flops… but I was just stunned. Everyone was made aware and we got rid of the flip flops, but now I can’t live down the jokes.. “You’re trying to poison your residents…”
