Our staff at California University is a tight group. One of our worst traits is our incessant urge to joke, pick on, and pull pranks on each other. This past Halloween one of our newest RA’s went to a party while two of us were “stuck” on call. So in retaliation for his impending good time we spent a week stockpiling. The RA in question left the building and the two of us went straight to work. Over the course of the evening we did it all. We gift wrapped his Television, computer monitor, and all the components of his stereo surround system. Then using the cardboard rolls from the gift paper we made a “fire pole” on the end of his bed and placed an inflatable “fire” woman on it. But we weren’t done yet. Several rolls of toilet paper, a couple rolls of crape paper, a fake spider web, a condom box full of plastic babies and some Happy Halloween banners later we were done. On our way out we ran into a group of residents who were shocked and amazed as we literally crawled out of the room. One resident said “WOW you guys are good…I’m glad I didn’t mess with you! “ In rebuttal my fellow RA said, “and to think we have the keys to your room in case you ever do. “
We’ve never had a prankster problem with that individual or floor ever since.
