One program that I recently did involved lots of effort, but was well worth it. I decided to make many “typical” desserts that we might eat, such as pumpkin pie, chocolate chip cookies, rice krispie treats, and chocolate pudding, but with a twist. Each dessert was made vegan, without any animal products. I got all my recipes from the Internet, and baked for about two hours. As residents came to try the desserts, I explained what was different, and what exactly a vegan lifestyle was. It was a success, and even won the “Most Creative Program” award for that month!
