I did a program for some of my residents where I took them to a Horse Ranch where they learned to saddle and bridal a horse, then learned to ride them on a trail ride, then cooled down the horses, un-saddled and brushed them down.
It was an awesome experience, especially for those who had never ridden a horse before. Everyone learned a lot, and had a Blast!
It was a bit expensive, and took a fair bit of planning, but it was worth it.
