This is just for a fun activity that provides social interaction. I took about 100 little army men and wrote a letter on the bottom of each. Collectively, the letters can spell a movie quote, saying, or whatever. I hid the army men all over campus with professors, staff members, etc. The residents have to ask their professors and staff members for the army men with a specific phrase, for example, “do you have a little army man, and if so may I please have it?” then they have to give the professor or staff member something, anything in exchange (e.g. a paperclip, toothpick, penny). Eventually, they will find all the men. Whoever finds the most gets a prize, then if the floor can collectively figure out what the saying or quote is, they will earn a pizza party or something (which takes care of the programming next month!)
