First we had a mini presentation from one of our hall directors who talked about 10 minutes on the importance of body image awareness. Then we transitioned into a photo booth event where girls were given body crayons (found around Halloween time) and told to write on their body a message they want to share with others. For example, some people wrote messages such as “Imperfection is perfection”, “forgive and forget”, “be-you-tiful”, “so what it’s not flat”, etc. We also had a hot chocolate bar set up so girls could feel warm on the inside and a wide array of fruits and healthier options. We also had decorated the area with a bunch of quotes that the girls were able to take with them as parting gifts.
