My first year as an RA at Texas A&M University, I had an incident where I was awoken at 3 am by two residents pounding on my door. It seems that a 3rd resident had been sleepwalking and had to use the restroom. The freshmen on my floor are notorious for leaving doors unlocked, and the sleepwalking resident mistook these 2 residents bedroom as the bathroom, and their futon as a urinal! While the sleepwalker was “doing his business” the residents woke up and screamed, thus waking up the sleepwalker who was then so embarrassed that he ran from the room. He later came to me deeply ashamed about the incident and I believe the 3 residents worked something out.
