This program is like a talent show, but a little different. It is in the format of a talent show, however it is for stand-up comedians only. There were 2 different ways of judging, a panel of judges and an audience vote. We had 5 judges and another person to tally the votes and determine the winner. While they were tallying the votes we offered 2 slices of free pizza and a can of soda to attendees. Also during this time we had audience participation, who ever could tell the best joke won a gift card of $25 to Wal-Mart. After counting the votes, our MC (the Director of Residence Life) announced the 1st place winner for a prize of a $75 dollar gift card to the place of their choice, and the runner-up who also won a gift card of $50 to the place of their choice. It was very successful; we had a total of 94 students attend (all paid $1 to get in with proceeds going to our hall government)…but for a campus with only a little over 400 on-campus students, it was a success!
