We ALL know how nerve raking it can be to find your classes on the first day of school, especially on a large college campus! To help ease the nerves of some of my residents I put on a program called “Find Your Classes”. A few days before the first day of classes I had the residents who wanted to see where their classes were, meet me in my room with a copy of their class schedule. I then looked over their schedule and highlighted the places on my campus map that I need to point out on our tour. We then set out and started at one end of the campus and walked and talked, as I pointed out the buildings and what each building held and why you might need to go in there. When this program was finished many residents thanked me and several came to me after their first few days and told me that they really appreciated the tour to find their classes before school started!
