Students need to know how to protect themselves with social media. I had an open discussion where we talked about the dangers involved with revealing too much information about your self online. I printed articles about the recent problems with FaceBook that are occurring on other college campuses. We discussed the possible trouble individuals can get in when posting controversial pictures of themselves on on-line communities.
