Late Night Fun with Army Men

May 12, 2014 by reslife

To have fun in the workplace…you must be creative and be able to work on a tight budget. Knowing these things, I made a trip to the dollar store for ideas.

At the dollar store I found the ultimate toy…little plastic army men. There were army men, firefighters, and police officers. These were only fifty cents a bag! I bought four bags (that is 250+ army men). Then my plan went into action.

Our building has a two-floor atrium with a small ledge around it. This ledge is filled with plants that people put there to get some sun. I went around the building placing army men in various places late one Friday night. They were everywhere. The residents loved this and they moved them around and made several different “teams” for the army men.

When it was time to clean them up I made it a hall program. Whoever found the most army men received a bag of candy.

The only problem now is that I have over 250 army men in my room. Just a fun, harmless ways to spend some free time.
