For this month’s program, I did “diversity cupcakes”. I premade cupcakes and bought many different frostings and toppings. Students came to decorate a cupcake that they felt best represents them. In addition, they then wrote a short story as to how that particular cupcake represented them.
I took pictures of everyone’s story and cupcake and made a collage to show that everyone (every cupcake) may be different, but we are all the same at the end of the day; it taught people to accept others for who they are.
