I have a great idea for a fun RA program that we actually just did last night-a ’90s Party!
We brought back all the things that made growing up in the ’90s awesome and reminisced about all the cartoons that used to make waking up early on Saturday mornings worth it, the toys we played with, and the junk foods we ate.
We watched the first season of Fraggle Rock, played with Legos, Pogs, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Connect Four, and even a Barrel of Monkeys.
Snacks included all the junk food that characterized that decade such as: Gushers, Fruit by the Foot, Fruit Roll Ups, those pink icing Animal Crackers, Twizzlers Pull & Peel, Star Crunches, Dunkaroos, War Heads, Lemon Heads, Air Heads, Fun Dip, Ring Pops, Baby Bottle Pops, and Pop Rocks.
To drink we had Kool Aid Bursts and Sunny D, but you could also do Mondo’s and Tang.
My Bulletin Board for this month also tied into the theme as it was the history of Legos featuring all kinds of fun facts about them.
My Door Decs were individual Lego blocks with resident’s names on them that actually fit together on their suite doors.
