TERMS OF SERVICE
This information is in addition to the primary TOS information for Reslife.Net and its website services.
Note: The Judicial Educator Service is designed for reactive and responsive education in the event of a conduct violation on campus. Use for proactive education of all students on campus is strictly prohibited.
Reslife.Net, LTD agrees to provide access rights to universities who purchase the rights to use The Judicial Educator. In return, purchasers will have unlimited access to The Judicial Educator, and can make unlimited student referrals. Any designated judicial officer who is employed by the Housing and/or Residence Life office who purchases the service can make these referrals.
The service has been designed to meet the needs the staff that work in Housing and Residence Life programs. Should the service be purchased by another office other than the Housing and Residence Life program, pricing will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
The cost for the purchase of the service is per an adjustable scale, which is published on the purchasing invoice. Upon purchase, Reslife.Net will provide the purchaser with one user name and password that will be utilized by all designated judicial officers when making student referrals. Referred Students will access the service area via the assigned user name and password.
As part of purchasing the service, the purchaser will designate one individual from their department to serve as the primary contact for the service. All communications about the service will occur between the primary contact and Reslife.Net.
The service period for The Judicial Educator will commence on the day that the primary contact for the service is notified of account activation, and cease one year later.
It is the intention of Reslife.Net, LTD to provide the specific content that is outlined in these terms of service. If due to unforeseen circumstances Reslife.Net, LTD is unable to provide content as defined, Reslife.Net, LTD will provide alternative content offerings that will be of equal value. The staff of Reslife.Net, LTD will determine equal value.
Reslife.Net, LTD, recommends that the buyer utilize a free trial of the subscription service to thoroughly test performance prior to purchase. All attempts have been made to ensure compatibility. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm that proper technical systems are in place at their individual college/university to support the offerings that are provided as a part of this service, prior to purchasing the service.
After services have been purchased, cancellations and financial refunds will not be possible.
In the event of a system failure, Reslife.Net, LTD will work to restore service in an appropriate and timely fashion.
Reslife.Net, LTD cannot be held responsible for man-made problems or acts of god.
Certain modules provide educational information on high-risk topics, such as acquaintance rape, safety on campus, and alcohol use. Under no circumstances shall Reslife.Net, LTD or the developers of the modules be held responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage caused or alleged to have been caused to a user in connection with the use or reliance on any content, goods or services available on www.reslife.net (which includes not only the modules listed specifically in this paragraph but the modules in total that are provided as part of The Judicial Educator.)
Reslife.Net, LTD serves in a subcontractor role for purchasing institutions. All information collected in The Judicial Educator database for subscribing institutions is the sole property of that subscribing institution. All requests for information from The Judicial Educator database must be made to Reslife.Net via the primary contact of the subscribing institution. Reslife.Net will only provide information pertaining to The Judicial Educator database to the primary contact for a subscribing institution.
The primary contact person as specified in the purchasing invoice must handle questions, comments or complaints. Any issues should be directed to INFO@reslife.net.
Reslife.Net, Ltd. (Reslife.Net) is committed to protecting the privacy of people who use our site. The policy below explains how we treat privacy and handle information we collect or learn about our website users for the domains judicialeducator.com, reslife.net, and any related internet properties. The policy may describe services on the web site that are not currently available but will be in the future on a temporary or permanent basis.
All personally identifiable information such as, but not limited to, name, email, IP address, browser and operating system specs, are used for internal purposes only or as part of the authorized verification process associated with a student’s/user’s campus adminstrative office. No personally identifiable information will be released to unaffiliated third parties except as required under applicable U.S. or state law.
Personally identifiable information on individual users will not be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties without the approval of the user at the time of collection.
At such points of collection, the user will have the opportunity to indicate whether he or she would like to “opt out” of receiving promotional and/or marketing information about other products, services and offerings from Reslife.Net, Ltd and/or any third parties. Further, notwithstanding any opt out of promotional information by the user, Reslife.Net, Ltd reserves the right to contact a subscriber regarding account status, changes to the subscriber agreement and other matters relevant to the underlying service and/or the information collected. Reslife.Net also has the right to contact individuals who request information about our services.
The following is a summary of the information we collect about you indirectly or passively when you interact with us:
- Usage data. We collect usage data about you whenever you interact with our services. This may include which webpages you visit, what you click on, when you performed those actions, and so on. Additionally, like most websites today, our web servers keep log files that record data each time a device accesses those servers. The log files contain data about the nature of each access, including originating IP addresses, operating system versions, and timestamps.
- Device data. We collect data from the device and application you use to access our services, such as your IP address, operating system version, device type, system and performance information, and browser type. We may also infer your geographic location based on your IP address.
- Referral data. If you arrive at at this website or one of our associated internet properties from an external source (such as a link on another website or in an email), we record information about the source that referred you to us.
Additionally, users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information (e.g., user name, email address) on public bulletin boards or in the chat areas of our websites, that information, along with any substantive information disclosed in the user’s communication, can be collected and correlated and used by third parties and may result in unsolicited messages from other posters or third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of Reslife.Net.
Reslife.Net, Ltd. instituted an “Ethics In Marketing” policy to not accept advertising from alcohol, tobacco, or firearms companies. We will not accept advertising from sites and companies that promote pornography. And because we understand the importance of establishing good credit when in college, we will not accept advertising from credit card companies with the exception of those offered directly by your university. In addition, we review all advertisements that we deliver to our site and any advertising we deem “inappropriate” will be rejected. These advertisements are those that include, but are not limited to, non-truthful or inaccurate messages, hate speech, excessive sexual reference, and other content.
Reslife.Net shall make every effort to comply with all standard website security best practices for protecting and preserving records online. Access to student and/or school administrative records shall be limited to authorized personnel only.
