Fun on the Job: Camping for a Night

At The University of Akron in NE Ohio, we get other RAs from other buildings on our campus to sub for us and go camping for a night. We only go one building at a time, if any of the other buildings want to go. We have a staff of 15 people and we do not see each other much through the week. We notice that we grow closer in our individual friendships as well as ourselves as a staff. We set up the tents, buy the food, make the food, make the fire and talk things over while making smores. It really is a team builder and it gives us a night off campus to get away from it all, together!
